Living Wage Employer

We are delighted to be officially accredited as a Living Wage Employer.

Living Wage Commitment

In November 2023 we decided to formalise our commitment to paying our staff and contractors a living wage (£12.00 per hour minimum) with the Living Wage Foundation. We actually pay a higher rate than this, and recently agreed a 6% cost of living increase to all staff for 2024.

We currently only have paid staff in the UK, but are researching a similar scheme for potential staff in the US. It’s important that our business values align with our practice, and we hope to demonstrate this in a number of ways. Using the Sustainable Development Goals allows us to focus on wider issues, including pay.

Goal 1 is for No Poverty, and wages are a key part of this ideal, along with Goal 8 – Decent Work and Economic Growth. Our staff have access to all appropriate health and safety workwear and PPE. We also have regular training audits, to support those who may wish to improve their skills or education in a relevant area.

In 2023 staff completed First Aid training and improved their IT skills with several online qualifications. In addition some completed their Carbon Literacy training and the innovative Digital Collage course to further environmental impact knowledge. During 2024 we are hoping to expand our team and will be offering induction and training on a variety of subjects.

As an ethical company, we work hard to maintain our values in both the front and back of house.
